SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360 : In honour of the 79th Independence Day, State Bank of India, the nation's biggest bank, has introduced a unique personal loan program for Agniveers, or young people enlisted in the military through the Government of India's short-term Agnipath recruitment program. Agniveers who have an SBI payroll account are eligible to apply for loans up to ₹4 lakh under this program, which waives all processing fees and requires no collateral. The repayment period will coincide with the Agnipath scheme's duration, providing the country's courageous citizens who are leaving the civilian world with the greatest amount of flexibility and ease. Additionally, until September 30, 2025, the bank will give all military personnel the lowest interest rate possible—a flat 10.50%. Through its Defence Salary Package, which Agniveers have had access to for a long time, the Bank has demonstrated its longstanding commitment to the welfare of India's armed services, which is furthered by these efforts. Numerous benefits are included in the package, including free international gold debit cards, zero-balance accounts, unlimited free ATM transactions at SBI ATMs across the country, waiver of annual debit card maintenance fees, free personal accident insurance (₹ 50 lakh) and air accident insurance (₹ 1 crore), coverage for partial and total permanent disability up to ₹ 50 lakh, and more. While launching the product, Shri C S Setty, Chairman, SBI, stated that they are proud to introduce this special financial offer for Agniveers—the young soldiers who are bravely and devotedly serving their country—on this memorable day of Independence. At SBI, they think that people who defend their freedom should have their undivided support as they forge on. This zero-processing charge is only the first step in their ongoing efforts to develop solutions that will inspire India's courageous citizens in the years to come.
