SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360: Participants from Pronam, the widely acclaimed outreach program for senior citizens run jointly by The Bengal NGO and the Kolkata Police, participated in the Independence Day celebration of India by hoisting the Indian tricolour flag, paying tribute to the freedom fighters with flower arrangements, and singing popular patriotic songs. Pronam serves about 20,000 registered elderly citizens with comprehensive security reviews, round-the-clock medical assistance, and psychological help, thereby highlighting the critical nature of addressing the issue of loneliness among senior citizens and bringing them into the social mainstream. Celebrating the day in the context of 'Har Ghar Tiranga,' the Secretary-General of The Bengal, Sundeep Bhutoria, said that the power of any nation rests in protecting and respecting the contributions of the older generation, which laid the foundation of modern India.
