Sharad Srijoni Samman and Khushee Initiative will Celebrate Creativity and Compassion This Durga Puja

As a result, the Sharad Srijoni Samman keeps up its tradition of recognising excellence in Puja creativity by collaborating with Khushee - A Helping Hand, an organisation that aims to uplift young people and improve the lives of those in need throughout India. Since its inception in 2013, the Sharad Srijoni Samman has recognized outstanding work in Durga Puja craftsmanship, ranging from stunning pandals and idols to impactful social messaging and cultural innovation, initially with five categories—Artwork, Message, Concept, Social Message, and Overall Excellence—but presently extended to recognize awards in excellence in Puja publicity design (Sharad Srijoni Chitralekhan Shilpi) and a Special Jury Award for sustained devotion and artistry, with residential complexes, for the first time, invited to take part, enabling housing society Pujas to spread their creative efforts on a greater platform, thereby maintaining a gesture towards tradition and innovation in Durga Puja. In conjunction with this cultural rejoice is Khushee, a self-initiated initiative by India Greens Reality Pvt. Ltd. to empower underprivileged sections of society through education assistance, cultural activities, and green initiatives, having extended itself to distressed communities during crises such as the Uttarakhand tragedy and the COVID-19 lockdown, with significant initiatives like the "Amaar Bangla Aabar Sobuj Hok" campaign that planted almost 50,000 saplings in Kolkata following Cyclone Amphan to regain ecological equilibrium, and this year introducing "Unmesh" that is targeted at finding and nurturing budding talent in education, sports, cultural profession, and life skills with overall assistance until they become self-reliant.
