Tala Prattoy Celebrates Its Centenary Year With The Launch Of Durga Puja 2025 Theme Song

Mamata Banerjee, Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Tala Prattoy, the site of one of Kolkata's most famous Durga Pujas, celebrated its centenary year with pride. This song reflects Banerjee's longstanding artistic and cultural ties to Bengal's heritage. The introduction of "Bij Angan" gave Tala Prattoy's centenary festivities a unique cultural element and produced a joyous atmosphere that appealed to devotees and culture vultures in Bengal and beyond. Anirban Chakraborty directed the music video for "Bij Angan," which combines vibrant imagery with the joyous spirit of Durga Puja to provide viewers with an enthralling audiovisual experience. Indranil Sen, Minister of State, Tourism Department, Ministry of Technical Education, Training & Skill Development Department, and Department of Information & Cultural Affairs, Government of West Bengal, has sung the song and officially introduced it. Dhrubajyoti Bose Suvo, Secretary, massArt, stated that "Bij Angan" pays homage to Bengal's legacy, the timeless spirit of Durga Puja, and the cultural core that binds them all together as they commemorate a century of Tala Prattoy. They were honoured that the Hon. Chief Minister wrote this unique anthem for their centenary, which Indranil Sen performed exquisitely.
