The "Draw for Sight" Drawing Competition Was Organised by Disha Eye Hospitals and Prova Eye Bank

News Desk, News Nation 360: As part of the 41st National Eye Donation Fortnight 2026, Disha Eye Hospitals and Prova Eye Bank organised ‘Draw For Sight’, an inter-school drawing competition at Disha Eye Hospitals in New Town, Kolkata, to sensitise young students, families, and the wider community about the life-changing impact of corneal donation and the gift of vision. Split into two competitive categories, Category 1 (Classes V-VII) and Category 2 (Classes VIII-XII), the event attracted more than 60 students from 17 renowned institutions across Kolkata, including The Newtown School, Lighting Lives School, IEM Public School, G.D. Goenka Public School, Narayana School Newtown, DPS Newtown, DPS Megacity, Harmony High School, and La Martiniere for Girls; praising the students’ artistic expression, Dr. Debasish Bhattacharya, Chairman & Managing Director of Disha Eye Hospitals, remarked that leveraging the creative and emotional reach of art would play a vital role in inspiring the younger generation to become strong advocates for posthumous eye donation and address India’s corneal blindness gap.
