News Desk, News Nation 360: On July 12, 2026, the Sripally Welfare Association Club campus in Lake Town, Kolkata, became a thriving stronghold of nationalism and classical heritage as it hosted the historic cultural convention "Vande Mataram in Consciousness and Thought" (Chetene o Monone Vande Mataram), a historic joint public commemoration of the sesquicentennial (150th) anniversary of India's foundational national song. Chief Guest Param Pujya Kinkar Vitthal Ramanuj Maharaj (Acharya of Akhil Bharat Jaiguru Sampraday) and All India President Kinkar Sri Priyanath Chattopadhyay opened the solemn evening, which was co-organised by the Omkarnath Mission (Lake Town Seva Sangha & Chikitsak Sangha), Sanskar Bharati South Bengal, and Arogya Bharati South Bengal. The milestone to re-rooting today's anti-colonial legacy and spiritual character. The event's artistic highlight was a historic civic felicitation of renowned Santoor maestro Padma Shri Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya, who enthralled the audience with a profoundly poignant, specialised instrumental composition of the Vande Mataram melody. This was followed by a massive choral performance led by Sanskar Bharati West Bengal Division and the Omkarnath Mission Parampara. This grand patriotic gathering, which was organised by Sri Shirshendu Hazra and State Convener Professor (Dr.) Sourav Haldar and was attended by notable civic figures such as advocate Sourav Chakraborty and Sri Abhijit Banerjee of the Vishva Hindu Parishad, successfully illustrated how classical music and generational memory can be seamlessly leveraged to safeguard Bengal's great cultural pride, community values, and enduring commitment to holistic nation-building.
