News Desk, News Nation 360 : In a watershed moment for India's travel and tourist industry, the Indo International Tourist Chamber of Commerce (IITCC), the country's first and only dedicated tourism chamber of commerce, was officially launched in Kolkata. The event was a watershed moment in the creation of a structured, united, and internationally connected ecosystem for tourism professionals around the country. The website for IITCC is www.iitcc.org.in. IITCC would work to position India as a global power in the tourism industry, while advocating for the interests

of the industry both nationally and internationally; building bridges between businesses, governments, and global tourism boards; creating skill certification programs; supporting MSMEs/startups; promoting sustainable tourism; and driving trade/investments. Its main objective is to create a structured, credible platform for cross-sector collaboration, global partnerships, and sustainable development in India's tourism sector. A key vision is to be Asia's largest tourism chamber, India's premier certification ecosystem, with more than 50 global boards, state/ASEAN/Middle East chapters, official voice for tourism policies/reforms. IITCC, headquartered in India with an international focus, will promote professional standards, forums, networking, and certifications. The Kolkata launch brought business leaders, entrepreneurs, hospitality professionals, policymakers, and other stakeholders on board, reaffirming strong support for it in shaping strategies, reforms, and industry advocacy. Speaking at the launch, Abbhishek Chaudhuri, Founder & President – IITCC, stated that India is one of the world's most powerful tourism destinations, yet they have long lacked a cohesive representative body focused only on the sector's concerns. The IITCC will empower tourism professionals, increase policy advocacy, and establish India as a worldwide tourism powerhouse.
