News Desk, News Nation 360: According to Bandhan Bank's financial reports for the first quarter of FY 2026–2027, there was a notable 40% decrease in credit provisions and a 35% year-over-year increase in net profit to ₹502 crore due to growing retail penetration. With a 7% increase in deposits to ₹1.65 lakh crore and total advances to ₹1.56 lakh crore, the bank's overall business increased by more than 11% to surpass ₹3.2 lakh crore. With a current account and savings account (CASA) ratio of 29.4% and a solid capital adequacy ratio (CAR) of 18.2%, retail deposits currently make up roughly 74% of total deposits, exhibiting significant liability stability. Managing Director & CEO Partha Pratim Sengupta confirmed that the lender is still committed to accelerating customer-centric digitisation, diversifying its asset book toward retail portfolios, and utilising data-driven insights to sustain balanced, long-term growth. The lender currently serves approximately 3.2 crore customers across 35 states and Union Territories through nearly 6,400 banking outlets and over 74,500 employees.
