In honour of his late wife, Sampa Bose, whose struggle with chronic kidney disease served as the inspiration for the establishment of the advanced centre, renowned industrialist Swapan Sadhan "Tutu" Bose generously donated a six-story structure. Prominent individuals, including BJP West Bengal General Secretary Smt. Locket Chatterjee, veteran actors Sabyasachi Chakrabarty and Mithu Chakraborty, former DME Dr Pradip Mitra, BJP North Kolkata President Tamoghna Ghosh, Mohun Bagan Club President Debashis Dutta, and industrialists Srinjoy and Shoumik Bose attended the high-profile inauguration ceremony. Under the direction of renowned nephrologist and Kidney Care Society president Dr Pratim Sengupta, the facility formally opened its first phase, which included an 18-bed Advanced Day Care Dialysis Unit supported by critical care facilities, specialised diagnostics, and a pharmacy. Trustee Sri Srinjoy Bose highlighted the movement's long-term goals by announcing that the centre will gradually grow into a comprehensive 50-bed charitable renal hospital with integrated wellness facilities and a top-notch research laboratory, guaranteeing that financial limitations will never stand in the way of life-saving medical dignity and hope.
