To Increase Mutual Fund Participation Throughout India, AMFI Announces Several Investor Education Initiatives

News Desk, News Nation 360: On the occasion of its 31st Foundation Day, the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) announced the expansion of its flagship financial literacy program, ‘Mutual Funds Sahi Hai’. The AMFI Foundation Day event drew SEBI Chairman Shri Tuhin Kanta Pandey, SEBI Whole Time Member Shri Amarjeet Singh, SEBI Executive Director Shri Manoj Kumar, AMFI Chairman Shri Sundeep Sikka, and CEO Shri Venkat N. Chalasani. They witnessed AMFI’s plan to take the successful investor education program to women investors, new investors, microfinance communities, and Tier-II/III households. It includes collaborations with National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) for ethics and fiduciary training of 10,000 distributors across 20 workshops, a tie-up with self-regulatory microfinance body Sa-Dhan to onboard 100 ‘Nivesh Sakhis’ to take 500 investor awareness programs to take micro borrowers to micro investors, conducting Bharat Nivesh Mela in smaller cities as part of the World Investor Week outreach, conducting financial literacy programs for women in 52 cities across the country in collaboration with Pinkathon, and releasing the AMFI-Crisil Fact Book 2025-26 by CRISIL GCC President Ms. Priti Arora highlighting India’s domestic investment landscape and SIP trends.
