News Desk, News Nation 360: An environmental seminar named "Coexisting With Snakes In Urban Spaces" was held by Jain Group, a prominent real estate developer in Kolkata, to address the growing encounters between reptiles and rising residential communities brought on by rapid peripheral urbanisation. The civic workshop was graced by Chief Guest Dr Dhriti Banerjee (Director, Zoological Survey of India) and Guest of Honour Shri Tarun Jyoti Tewari (MLA, Rajarhat-Gopalpur), alongside key conservationists including nature expert Biswajit Roy Chowdhury, PhD scholar Ardhendu Das Mahapatra, and MONOSHA Biotech founders Saurabh Ray and Neha Garodia. Spearheaded by Jain Group executives Shrayans Jain (Vice Chairman) and Rishi Jain (Managing Director) alongside wildlife enthusiast Shiladitya Chaudhury, the panel addressed sustainable urban governance and community participation, debunking local biological myths while hosting a live demonstration session on safe handling protocols during sudden home encounters. Rishi Jain and Shiladitya Chaudhury are committed to transforming fear into proactive preparedness and creating inclusive, ecologically balanced real estate ecosystems where modern structural development and nature thrive in harmony. To ensure actionable, long-term safety across rapidly expanding residential sectors like Rajarhat, the organisers launched an official public awareness sticker integrated with a QR-enabled digital platform that connects citizens instantly to an emergency rescue helpline and clear snakebite dos and don'ts.
