News Desk, News Nation 360: The Vienna Sporting Club took the initiative to effectively organise the 26th blood donation camp. Blood drives are crucial during the scorching summer months since there is a severe blood shortage every year. The camp, which was established in North Kolkata to meet this demand, attracted a sizable number of locals. Additionally, giving blood during this time of year becomes even more important because the need for blood for Thalassaemia patients continues throughout the year. Local MLA Sri Vijay Ojha, notable politicians Sri Tamoghna Ghosh,
Sri Sanjay Bakshi, Sri Soumya Bakshi, as well as renowned social worker Sri Sanjay Roy, Srimati Rupa Majumdar, and Club Secretary Priyanku Pandey, were among the luminaries who attended the occasion. The guests discussed the importance of blood donation. Due to recent elections, blood donation camps were not possible, but the local community showed tremendous support and volunteered on their own. A total of 188 people gave blood willingly, with about 30 of them being female. It was quite noticeable and admirable to see Sri Prakash Sau, the proprietor of the nearby computer training facility P.L. Academy, along with his coworkers and pupils. Additionally, instructional materials were given to young schoolchildren, and sewing machines were donated to the group "Amra Padatik" in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Renaissance.
