News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Hinduja Group, which began as a modest primary school for refugee children, celebrated 75 years of a remarkable educational journey and reiterated its dedication to influencing India's future through its flagship institution, Hinduja College of Commerce. Currently, Hinduja College is moving closer to being a recognised university with more than 6000 students. Addressing the students & dignitaries at a function to commemorate 75 years in education through Hinduja College, the Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar stated that Sanatan, which emphasises inclusivity and the importance of being rooted in it, must be included into the nation's culture and educational system. To establish specialised institutions, he also pushed India to invest in education. Commodification and commercialisation should not be the guiding principles of charitable activities. These are plaguing our educational and healthcare institutions. Additionally, he referred to education as the most powerful transforming tool for achieving equality. The Hinduja Group, through the Hinduja Foundation, is making great strides in Indian education by supporting over 700,000 students, with initiatives like Road to School and Road to Livelihood being at the heart of it, and a strategy to reach beyond a million students by the year 2030, directly contributing to India's Viksit Bharat vision for 2047, which in itself sees education as a vital catalyst for national development; the commitment toward the domain of educational empowerment was expressed clearly at a celebratory event presided over by the Hon'ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, and the Governor of Maharashtra, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, who served as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, respectively, while Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar highlighted the immediacy of the duality of excellence in academics and extracurricular activities by giving honour to a few convergent students, thereby underscoring the foundation's principled commitment to nurturing balanced citizens and promising a brighter tomorrow for India through comprehensive educational initiatives.
