News Desk, News Nation 360 : WEVOW, a boutique selling ethnic wear from Kolkata, recently opened its newest outlet. It is situated at No. 116 Southern Avenue, Post Office – Sarat Bose Road, Police Station Lake, Kolkata – 700029, behind Oudh and opposite Pico, Vivekananda Park. WEVOW was started in 2017 by Arpita Bhattacharjee and Chiranjit Podder. It was created out of their mutual love for Indian heritage and textile artistry. The brand name "WEVOW" ensures that the promise of beauty, comfort, and authenticity is delivered in each piece. Miss Sushmita Roy, the Runner-up of Miss Universe India 2024, actor, and model, was the Chief Guest at the opening. WEVOW already has a boutique at Bangur Avenue. The new boutique carries the brand's vision to a larger audience. It features handcrafted, luxury ethnic wear with a clear design voice. The store is open from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM every day. The Southern Avenue branch occupies 500 square feet. It has old-world beauty coupled with sensitive modern-day refinement. The store is two-story. Daily wear, office wear, and casual wear are sold on the ground floor. The mezzanine floor stocks a higher-end range of festive and bridal clothing. These include embroidered zardozi blouses and rich brocade sarees. The interior of the boutique has a dramatic black-and-white checkered floor.

It boasts ivory-toned walls. Antique brass chandeliers provide a warm, ageless light. Dignified wall sconces and intricately carved mirrors add to the character of the boutique. They evoke a peaceful yet refined atmosphere. This is true to the design philosophy of the brand. WEVOW collections honour craftsmanship. They use materials such as raw silk, organza, Chikankari, Kalamkari cotton, Jamdani, and velvet. Their signature zardozi blouses with backless or front-open designs are popular. Their saree range continues to show elegance and individuality. This includes featherlight organza drapes, intricate French knot Tussar, and heritage Jamdani. The brand targets women aged 20 to 50. These women value cultural connection and craftsmanship. WEVOW offers clothing for brides-to-be, bridesmaids, and global Indian women seeking expressive statement pieces. Their garments are to be touched, not merely to be worn. Blouses are priced between ₹1,299 and ₹8,999. Sarees are priced between ₹1,999 and ₹14,999. Handpicked ethnic jewellery costs between ₹499 and ₹2,499. Heritage fashion is thus aspirational and affordable. With this launch, WEVOW has restated its vision of bringing Indian fashion to life, a living, breathing celebration. Each thread speaks legacy, each fit speaks story, and every woman feels regal and rooted.
