News Desk, News Nation 360 : The new gigafactory of Ohmium International ("Ohmium"), a pioneer in green hydrogen technology that develops, produces, and utilises cutting-edge Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysers, has officially opened for business. It is located in Doddaballapura, which is a short distance from Bengaluru, India. To meet the demands of Ohmium's global project pipeline, the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, which spans nearly 14,000 square meters of production space, is ramping up to ship 2 gigawatts (GW) of fully assembled and tested electrolyser systems. Arne Ballantine, Ohmium CEO and Ashwin Varma, Ohmium COO stated that Ohmium has achieved a significant milestone with the opening of their new gigafactory, which allows them to supply green hydrogen solutions to an expanding customer base in India and beyond. A 2GW electrolyser can absorb 4 million tonnes of CO2 annually, which is the same amount of CO2 that 180 million trees could absorb. And that's only the start. Ohmium's exclusive hyper modular PEM electrolysers are made to be simple to assemble and manufactured in large quantities. They can create systems that achieve superior performance at a very competitive cost by putting the best practices of standardised, high-quality, and efficient manufacturing into practice. Their factory's production can swiftly increase to meet the increasing demand thanks to this standardised approach, which also results in additional cost savings as capacity increases.
