News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Interact Club of Aditya Academy Senior Secondary Dumdum took the noble initiative of commemorating National Cancer Awareness Day on November 7, 2025, through a meaningful public awareness initiative involving all school students, which included a 3 km Silent Walkathon, an Awareness Talk by medical professionals, and a thought-provoking Street Play at a reputable shopping mall in Kolkata. More than a hundred students from Grade VIII onward participated in a Silent Walkathon, attired with purple ribbon badges in solidarity with cancer survivors and their families. The walk ended at Diamond Plaza Mall, where they staged a Nukkad Natak that touched the hearts of everyone present with messages of awareness, empathy,

and hope. The session was followed by doctors Raktim and Samrat from ILS Hospital speaking about early detection, healthy living, and community support in fighting cancer, which helped the students understand both the medical and emotional sides of the illness. Both the alumni Dr Aditya Srimali and medical student Sreya added to the discussion. The event itself reflected how education and community service can combine to achieve meaningful social impact, reflecting the values upheld by Aditya Group. Speaking on the occasion, Sabita Saha, Director-Academics, Aditya Academy Group of Schools, stated that this effort embodies their students' values of empathy, awareness, and social responsibility. By expanding learning beyond the classroom, they cultivate young people who think that understanding and compassion can create meaningful change.
