Bengal Food & Fruit Festival Concludes with a Successful Display of Regional Specialities and Trade Accomplishments

News Desk, News Nation 360 : On August 11, 2024, the Department of Food Processing Industries & Horticulture, Government of West Bengal, and the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) successfully wrapped off the three-day Bengal Food & Fruit Festival. The occasion promoted local production, enabled trade, established industrial ties, and highlighted the state's wide range of agricultural products. At the festival were prominent government figures, such as Agriculture Minister Arup Roy, Panchayat Minister Pradip Kr Mazumdar, and top government and ICC members, demonstrating the state's dedication to bolstering its agricultural industry. Arup Roy, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Food Processing Industries and Horticulture, Government of West Bengal stated that he is pleased to highlight the many accomplishments in horticulture and agriculture in the state. This festival demonstrates their dedication to enhancing the food processing business in addition to showcasing their wide range of goods. Their mission is to promote farmers, stimulate economic growth, and improve West Bengal's agricultural environment by showcasing their distinctive fruits and vegetables. A total of 64 stalls from about 15 regions participated in the festival. Out of all the stalls, Howrah District was pronounced the winner, followed by Malda District in second place and Purba Medinipur in third. Thousands of people came to the festival to experience and discover Bengal's traditional flavours.
