News Desk, News Nation 360 : The second-largest paint and coatings firm in India, Berger Paints India Ltd., is commemorating a century of business in India by relocating its headquarters to New Town, Kolkata's emerging commercial district. Dr Shashi Panja, the Hon'ble Cabinet Minister for Industries, Commerce & Enterprises and the Department of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare of the Government of West Bengal, formally opened the new Berger Paints headquarters in New Town alongside the company's top executives. The eight-story office building is roughly 190,000 square feet in size and has a paint-can-like appearance. This includes the newly set up Berger Paints' head office with an energetic colour scheme in all its floors designed as a "VIBGYOR", so to speak innovation of this kind truly resonates with the colour, branding, and

excellence-innovation with great forward-thinking qualities. The building has an integrated museum with a curated art collection and an in-built art gallery, which houses Berger Paints' exclusive My Color App. This allows visitors to have an interactive experience to explore and select shades. The workspace is designed to stimulate creativity and envision limitless possibilities, and it also features artwork from a nationwide competition for Fine Arts students. It is a LEED-certified Platinum green building and, mainly, is powered by solar energy. Abhijit Roy, MD & CEO of Berger Paints India Limited commented that from their founding in Bengal to commemorating their centenary in India, they have continuously reaffirmed their dedication to the socioeconomic development of the state. A prime example of their commitment to building an agile, future-ready workplace is their new headquarters in New Town, Kolkata. In terms of market capitalisation, they have grown from a little plant in Howrah in 1923 to become Bengal's second-largest operator. Although many businesses moved, they have been deeply ingrained in Bengal's socioeconomic structure. Two of their three operational units—the Rishra plant of ICI India and the Singur unit of STP—were bought strategically and transformed into cutting-edge manufacturing hubs with cutting-edge technologies and increased capacity. Their hiring practices prioritise responsible talent retention, guaranteeing smooth workforce continuity and integration.
