It will thus enable initiatives aiming at deepened mutual understanding with each other's education systems for better identification and collaborative opportunities also harnessing opportunities provided by digital and online ways to enhance knowledge acquisition. This focuses on improving student engagement, innovative teaching methods, and upgrading the quality of assessment along with course completion rates. A seminar on 'Future trends in digital education' was taken by Lord Jo Johnson and one on the 'Regulatory landscape in India' by Prof. Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi, former member of the National Council for Vocational Education and Training. The panel discussion was led by Rittika Chanda Parruck MBE, Director of Education-India, British Council, in discussion with Prof. Uma Kanjilal, Vice-Chancellor of IGNOU, and Joshua Fleming, Director Strategy Office for Students UK, as they explored the best model for distance education and developing scalable, accessible, high-quality online learning systems.
