Tripura CM Inaugurates Techno India University Tripura

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Techno India University, Tripura (TIUT) celebrated a historic occasion as Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tripura, officially unveiled the University's newly developed infrastructure at the Techno India Knowledge Campus in Agartala, indicating a significant advance in higher education in the state. Techno India University, Tripura, celebrated yet another landmark institutional journey when Ceremonial Inauguration and Foundation Stone Laying for new infrastructure and allied facilities were undertaken at the Techno India Knowledge Campus, Maheshkhola, Agartala, in the presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tripura, Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, as the Chief Guest, and Guest of Honour Kishor Barman, Hon'ble Minister of Higher Education. TIUT, established under Tripura Act No. 4 of 2023 and led by the Chancellor, Prof. Satyam Roychowdhury, marked expansion, with the inauguration of Academic Block–D, the TIUT Tagore Lounge, and a Blood Donation Camp, together with saplings being planted. The foundation stones laid for Girls' and Boys' Hostels, Auditorium, Vice-Chancellor's Bungalow, and Staff Residential Block, along with the online inauguration of Open Gym and Open Theatre, were other highlights. The event also comprised the projects displayed by students, food stalls representing traditional food, and publications, including Mandala, TIUT Times, and OBE & Skillsets: Theory to Practice. MoUs on fostering academic collaborations were also signed on this occasion. Currently, it houses nearly 2,500 students from diverse backgrounds, thus reflecting a strong commitment to building a future-ready educational ecosystem in tune with AI, sustainability, and advanced technology, coupled with substantially augmenting higher education in Tripura. In his welcome remarks, Prof. Satyam Roychowdhury mentioned Tripura as a particular destination for Techno India. What started in 1988 as Tripura's first computer training centre has evolved into an educational legacy that inspires and nurtures young minds. He thanked the Government of Tripura, Hon'ble Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha, various government and academic partners, and the people of Tripura for their unwavering support and stated that the Techno India Knowledge Campus represents the next step in a never-ending journey of dreams and possibilities.
