Disha Eye Hospitals has expanded its services with a new 10,000 sq ft, four-story, 30-bed eye care unit in Girish Park, North Calcutta, equipped with
advanced eye care technologies, including five consultation rooms and two operating theaters, designed to address various eye-related medical emergencies; this new branch will be staffed by experienced eye surgeons and ophthalmologists from across Bengal, initially focusing on the prevalent issues of cataract and retinal dysfunction, offering surgical solutions to patients from all walks of life; the Girish Park branch will operate from Monday to Saturday, between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm, to provide accessible and comprehensive eye care services to the community. Dr Debasish Bhattacharya, Chairman & Managing Director, Disha Eye Hospitals stated that Disha Eye Hospitals, which was established in 1997, has given around 28 years dedicated to the cause of accessible eye care reaching nearly 300 crore families from Bengal with surgery emphasis to around one. 2 million from its branches, all with the help of over 1000 staff and 96 full-time consultants while constantly implementing breakthrough technologies in the field of eye care for ensuring reasonable and advanced services for all; moving ahead, Disha Eye Hospitals plans to further multiply its reach by investing around Rs 100 crore in opening new hospitals in Nadia, Purulia, Haldia, and Bakura, besides 100 Vision Centers and Teleconsultation Hubs, with hopes of extending its services to national cities; recently opened Girish Park branch will have more than distinguished eye surgeons and consultants to cater to the needs of the local community.
