News Desk. News Nation 360: On Keshab Chandra Sen Street in North Kolkata, the Ratan Dutta Welfare Society and R.P. Welfare Trust collaborated on a social benefit project called "Manobatar Sporshe" (A Touch of Humanity). The event, which aimed to support vulnerable segments of society, included the giving of clothing to local ladies from low-income households. To further spread the word about education, the organisers also gave educational materials to children of Sonagachi area sex workers and formally congratulated successful Madhyamik (10th) and Uchha Madhyamik (12th) students. Prominent politicians, such as MLA Tapas Roy and MLA Vijay Ojha,
graced the event. They both emphasised the value of community sensitivity and called on society to support individuals from various backgrounds. Tamoghna Ghosh (President, North Kolkata BJP), Debasish Pain (State Committee Member), Sanjay Roy (Trustee, Hindu Satkar Samity), Sumita Roy (President, R.P. Welfare Trust), and Sucharita Paul were among the many local politicians and notable individuals who attended the event. Meena Devi Purohit, Mahasweta Mukherjee, Swarnali Ghosh, film director Bimal Dey, Gautam Sarkar, artist Dibakar Chakraborty, and Jai Narayan Singh were among the special guests in attendance. Somnath Saha effectively hosted and anchored the entire event.
