News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Income Tax Department, a central government department, has long engaged in social welfare programs for its subordinate employees. A free eye check-up and treatment camp was recently organised in Kolkata by the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax for the West Bengal & Sikkim Region in collaboration with the Revenue Officials Women's Association (ROWA) for Income Tax Office subordinate employees. Archana Kumar remarked that
in addition to officials, Group C personnel and other subordinate staff play an important role in the efficient operation of the Income Tax Department. Therefore, it is their job to ensure the well-being of all employees. This was the motivation behind organising the eye check-up and treatment camp. Archana Kumar, Chairperson of ROWA, inaugurated the camp. Esther Lal Rutkimi, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, and Parmita M. Biswas, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, were also in attendance, as well as senior officers and department staff.
