SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360: In April 2026, the Society of Paediatric Neurology Bengal and the India Autism Centre (IAC), a prominent non-profit organisation, held "Autism in Practice" to honour World Autism Awareness Month. The goal of this series of parent-focused education programs is to close the knowledge gap between neurodiverse people's practical, lifetime care and clinical understanding. IAC CEO Jaishankar Natarajan gave a keynote address, Dr Manish Samnani delivered expert-led talks on occupational therapy, and Dr Rudrajit Sinha moderated an integrated medical panel titled "Medicines and Beyond." With talks on nutrition, teen behaviour modification, and parent advocates' personal experiences, the event also addressed important transitions into adolescence and adulthood. Samaavesh, IAC's planned 50-acre residential environment in Joka, which is scheduled to start operations in November 2026, was at the centre of the conversations. Samaavesh, India's largest lifelong care facility, was built to accommodate more than 600 neurodivergent people and their families. It uses specialised clinical care software to track therapy progress and guarantee the neurodiverse community's long-term dignity, independence, and support well into adulthood.
