News Desk, News Nation 360 : The world's largest multinational healthcare provider, IHH Healthcare, in collaboration with its subsidiary Fortis Healthcare, announced the launch of "IHH Catalyst | Fortis India Edition," a national healthcare innovation platform intended to expedite the implementation of patient-centric, technology-enabled solutions throughout India's hospital ecosystem. This significant move is in line with the Government of India's Startup India and innovation-led growth agenda. IHH and Fortis Healthcare have launched IHH Catalyst | Fortis India Edition, a formalised health incubator designed to address the gap between initial pilot program tests and real-world application within hospital facilities. The incubator, originally conceived as the IHH Global Incubator last October, is now supported by Plug and Play and is India-focused. The incubator is designed to assist health tech and med tech startups in obtaining clinic validation and real-world application within hospital facilities. By plugging in with Fortis' vast network, innovators have direct and immediate access to clinical expertise and resources, making them hospital and patient-centric as well. This initiative addresses the major barrier to hospital adoption, which is one of the biggest challenges faced by the exploding India-based health startup sector. IHH Catalyst is for execution-oriented health startups that are demonstrating actionable improvements to patient and operational efficiency. As an anchor partner, Fortis would also ensure close interaction between innovators and medical professionals; this way, new technologies would also be field-tested. This would also support the long-term vision of India developing into a world-class healthcare delivery innovation centre. In the end, it provides a framework to take ideas from conception to delivery to the healthcare sector. Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, MD & CEO, Fortis Healthcare, stated that the degree to which innovation is successfully incorporated into routine clinical practice will determine the direction of healthcare in India. The Government of India's Startup India objective is in line with IHH Catalyst | Fortis India Edition, which offers healthcare companies an organised mechanism to interact with hospitals, doctors, and patients. At Fortis, they see this as a chance to make scalable, tech-driven solutions possible that enhance access, operational effectiveness, and care quality while establishing India as a worldwide hub for healthcare innovation.
