News Desk. News Nation 360: Jindal (India) Limited (JIL), a well-known subsidiary of the BC Jindal Group, has completed its ambitious 1,500-crore capital expenditure program in the state by successfully commissioning a state-of-the-art, high-speed continuous Colour Coating Line (CCL) at its Ranihati manufacturing complex in Howrah, West Bengal. This achievement comes soon after the company opened a pickling plant, cold rolling mill, and galvanising coating line at the same site in February 2026. The new high-tech CCL, which was acquired through a strategic supply agreement with John Cockerill India, has sophisticated multi-stage cleaning, tension levelling, chemical coating, and regenerative thermal oxidiser (RTO) curing ovens. These features enable it to apply a variety of premium paint technologies, such as Polyester, PVC, Epoxy, and Teflon, across varying steel strip dimensions. The expansion, spearheaded by group promoter Shyam Sunder Jindal, increases the plant's production capacity to a commanding 60,000 tonnes per month (an annual output of 2,75,000 tonnes), which is expected to result in a 75% increase in business revenue by FY27. JIL's market-leading brands, Jindal Sabrang and Jindal NeuColor+, are strengthened by this shift into a high-volume manufacturer, according to a company spokesperson. This allows the conglomerate to meet India's quickly changing infrastructure needs while solidifying its flat steel coated products as 70% of its core growth portfolio.
