News Desk, News Nation 360 : Although it is rarely recognised or used, it is not impossible to find ability in a person with a disability. Against all the difficulties, Rupam Sarmah took on the challenge of casting almost 80 people with impairments in a film like One Little Finger. Some of them suffer from multiple sclerosis, dementia, autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, hearing loss, intellectual disability, and genetic abnormalities. Promoting inclusiveness and diversity, as well as increasing knowledge of human rights concerns, are the main objectives. More than a billion individuals have a disability of some kind. People are not just physically disadvantaged; they are also disabled by society. Everyone is statistically likely to experience a disability at some point in their lives. "One Little Finger" is a bilingual transnational narrative film that combines the United States of America and India, addressing the very inspiring theme of "Ability in Disability." Written and directed by Dr

Rupam Sarmah, the movie is based on real-life experiences and features a talented team of cast and crew members from Assam, Kolkata, South India, Mumbai, and the USA. In order to give the movie a realistic touch, the disability-afflicted characters in the movie are played by actual people. This production highlights Hollywood star Tamela D’Amico in a prominent part, with an Oscar-nominated composer and performance artist Siedah Garrett portraying Dr Claudia. This part has been divided amongst Abhinaya, a deaf South Indian actress, and Den, a person with Cerebral Palsy. National award-winning actress Jeeja and some of the finest actors in the industry, Jonathan Stoddard, Malaya Goswami, and Jaya Seal Ghosh, take part in it. The story explores the life of Raina, a neurological specialist from America, moving to India to learn music therapy, which inspires her to help differently-abled individuals uncover power within music. Her journey further unfolds with the characters of Den and Angel, two differently-abled individuals overcoming physical limitations and the trauma of bullying to leave their impact on the world. The movie has received international acclaim and has won over thirty awards at film festivals held in various locations such as Los Angeles, Italy, London, and Spain, including awards for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Music, as well as the Human Rights Award and World Peace Award. Rupam stated that they had a large number of children and young adults with disabilities, so it was difficult to begin with the unknowns. Many people shun disabled persons because they think they are a burden to society. Never undervalue their skills. His eyes were opened by it. Their words, thoughts, and deeds are very important to him.
