RAVASH 2026 is a Celebration of Dance, Tradition, and Devotion

News Desk, News Nation 360: On August 5, 2026, Sankalpa Nrityayan, a renowned Odissi dance school in Kolkata, held its 23rd Annual Concert, RAVASH 2026, at Rabindra Sadan to honour Padma Vibhushan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra's centenary. The evening began with invocatory prayers to Lord Jagannath and a Mangalacharan, directed by Odissi exponent Sri Subikash Mukherjee. Next, Sangeet Natak Akademi Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar awardee Rajashri Praharaj and Preetisha Mohapatra performed a duet of Ardhanarishwar, choreographed by Guru Ratikanta

Mohapatra. Two memorial scholarships, the Jeetobritti (Subhadip Chakraborty Memorial Scholarship) to Rishita Das and the Udbhas (Pralay Dasgupta Memorial Scholarship) to Mrittika Sen, were awarded during the ceremony, demonstrating the institution's dedication to fostering fresh talent. Basant Pallavi, Kahi Gole, Mohana Pallavi, Saberi Pallavi, Shreeta Kamala, Molimalo, and a solo Abhinaya (Rase Hari Miha) by Sri Subikash Mukherjee were among the classical Odissi acts performed during the festival. Guru Ashimbandhu Bhattacharya and the Upasana Centre for Dance presented Kathak-fusion Nivedanam at the end.
