News Desk, News Nation 360: The Calcutta Racket Club will host the Kolkata leg of the HCL Squash PSA Challenger Tour from August 10–14, 2026, thanks to a partnership between HCL Group and the Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI). 48 international players from seven nations—including India, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Switzerland, and Germany—compete in the Professional Squash Association (PSA)-certified competition for a US$9,000 prize purse in both the men's and women's categories. After winning the Mumbai leg, Tanvi Khanna (World No. 74) of India is leading the women's draw, while Mohamed Gohar (World No. 93) of Egypt is leading the men's draw. As squash gets ready for its Olympic debut at the LA 2028 Games, HCL Group AGM of Marketing Nikhil Soni highlighted the initiative, emphasising that multi-city tour stops offer vital domestic opportunities for Indian athletes—including teenage star Anahat Singh, who became the youngest Asian to break into the world top 20 after winning her first PSA Bronze title at the Squash On Fire Open—to accrue world ranking points and match experience on home soil.
