News Desk, News Nation 360: With a remarkable 28% year-over-year increase in trade visitor attendance, Fairfest Media's TTF (Travel & Tourism Fair) Kolkata 2026 successfully wrapped up its high-impact three-day convention at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, solidifying its 37-year legacy as Eastern India's premier travel trade network. Tourism Ministers Shri Satpal Maharaj of Uttarakhand and Rohan A. Khaunte of Goa, as well as Consul-General Khun Siriporn Tantipanyathep of the Royal Thai Consulate-General, were among the international guests of honour at the historic expo, which was opened by West Bengal Tourism Minister Shri Shankar Ghosh, who presented a progressive state vision to turn regional tourism potential into actual performance. The exhibition, which welcomed over 9,000 verified B2B travel trade buyers and 1,900 members of the general public, featured over 500 elite exhibitors from 21 Indian states and six countries, including Nepal, Bhutan, the United States, and Vietnam, with Thailand as the Featured Country and West Bengal making a significant comeback as the Host State. The event featured important intellectual panels on digital safety and sustainable tourism—highlighted by the introduction of the "Sonar Bangla Thekay Sabuj Bangla" conservation poster—along with profitable corporate networking and notable private hospitality showcases from Radisson, Wyndham, and Ramoji Film City. It concluded with a lavish Valedictory & Awards Ceremony that solidified Kolkata as the strategic economic gateway driving the larger domestic and outbound travel market across Eastern India.
