SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360: Arindam Bhattacharya, a renowned producer, filmmaker, and chartered accountant, has revealed that Matrix One, a high-end, family-friendly Bengali over-the-top platform, will launch in the second half of 2026. Supported by his own production company, Dreamliner Entertainment, which produced well-known feature films like Antarleen, Flat No. 609, Antardhaan, Shibpur, and Durgapur Junction, the streaming endeavour would adhere rigidly to a quality-over-quantity curation approach in order to satisfy international production standards. High-end original web series, short films, feature lengths, documentaries, and specialised lifestyle segments like food, travel, and fitness will all be part of the premium platform's varied programming portfolio. Additionally, there will be a dedicated, heavily archived Classics segment that focuses on acquiring and restoring iconic titles to preserve regional cinematic heritage. The star-studded launch pipeline for Matrix One will include Bhattacharya's first web series, "Shibpur – The Prequel," which delves deeper into the universe of his critically acclaimed 2023 crime drama Shibpur; his most recent thriller, Durgapur Junction, starring Swastika Mukherjee and Vikram Chatterjee; Sayan Banerjee's original web series, Dugga; and an exclusive web film directed by national award winner Atanu Ghosh. Drawing from his two decades of experience as a senior global executive at major multinational conglomerates such as GE, HP Agilent, and RPG Spencer's, Bhattacharya highlighted that Matrix One is the structural culmination of his backgrounds in corporate governance and creative storytelling, creating a streaming ecosystem based solely on administrative excellence and financial discipline to offer a sophisticated, sustainable digital home for top-tier Bengali entertainment.
