The introduction of the Director (Strategy & Corporate Affairs) position marks a significant step forward for ONGC, reflecting the company's commitment to driving innovation and growth. This strategic role will play a crucial part in shaping ONGC's future by developing new strategies across the renewables, downstream sectors, and E&P space. Additionally, it will strengthen the company's global and local partnerships, while fostering a strong focus on marketing and IT innovation. Arunangshu Sarkar, a seasoned petroleum engineer from IIT Dhanbad, has a proven track record of success within ONGC. Before his appointment, he served as the Surface Manager of Bassein & Satellite, ONGC's largest O+OEG-producing asset. His experience also includes a successful tenure as head of Corporate Planning and Strategy at ONGC Videsh. With his extensive industry knowledge and strategic acumen, he is well-positioned to lead ONGC's strategic initiatives. His appointment is expected to further enhance the company's JV management capabilities and position it for sustained growth in the years to come.
