Bandhan Bank Marks Its 11th Anniversary

News Desk, News Nation 360: On the occasion of Bandhan Bank’s 11th anniversary, the bank opened its 2,000th branch in Egmore (Chennai, Tamil Nadu) – a significant institutional achievement. Consequently, Bandhan Bank now serves more than 3.2 crore customers across 6,400 outlets in 35 states and union territories. The bank has announced plans to open additional branches in South India. The ‘mBandhan Lite’ mobile app, available in English, Hindi, and Bengali, has been developed for microfinance borrowers to facilitate their digital banking needs. It offers options like a hassle-free onboarding process, an intuitive application for account management, a repayment process and a chatbot facility. Bandhan Bank’s MD and CEO, Partha Pratim Sengupta, revealed the same while highlighting the bank’s thrust on both retail expansion as well as digital banking to take financial inclusion to the doorstep of every customer in urban, semi-urban, and rural areas.
