News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Bengal Home Industries Association (BHIA), one of the oldest and most recognised organisations dedicated to the promotion of cottage industries, arts, and crafts, organised a successful two-day show honouring Bengal's rich handloom and handicraft traditions. Gaganendra Nath Tagore, a renowned artist, served as the organisation's first Honorary Secretary. He designed the Association's first scarf with a lovely traditional motif, which is still in the inventory. The exhibition featured a carefully curated assortment of handcrafted goods from across the country, including sarees, scarves, home décor pieces, bedspreads, jewellery, beautifully crafted candles, Moras, handcrafted bags, Kashmiri scarves, shawls, jackets, and a wide range of dokra craft, among other things. Yukiko Yuasa, Bridget Vaswani, and Sweden's

Honorary Consul Tina Nobis were among the guests of honour. Shankar Bose, Secretary of BHIA, noted that BHIA has been promoting handicrafts for 109 years while also assisting disadvantaged and marginalised artisans in developing and expanding their markets. On that day, they had the well-known Linecot and Roshanara fabrics, as well as the famed embroidered bed linens, which our customers continue to purchase. Add to that the collection of cotton and silk sarees. They are proud of their multi-generational consumer base and their unwavering support for their product offerings. Bengal Home continues to work with the same devotion and altruistic goal as its founding members to support and grow cottage industries, equip artists with resources and marketing skills, and conserve India's cultural and artistic legacy for future generations.
