News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Bhaktivedanta Research Centre (BRC) has finished digitising the rare manuscript collection of Sri Padmanabha Goswami, a 14th-generation descendant of Gopal Bhatta Goswami, one of the main disciples of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, marking a significant step in the preservation of India's spiritual and literary legacy. Dr Sumanta Rudra, Academic Dean at BRC, emphasised the importance of this work, noting its long-term value to scholars worldwide and stated that scriptural preservation becomes the very pulse of existence, almost like an addiction. This archive is from a renowned family with scholastic accomplishments and social service. Original work by Pandit Sarvabhauma Madhusudan Goswami, a renowned scholar of Nyaya and Sanskrit grammar, has been preserved in the archive. He was also associated with Bhaktivinoda Thakur, Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati, and Sri Madan Mohan Malviya. The digitisation project was spearheaded by BRC researcher Sourish Das, with help from Raju Mistry. It began in April 2024 and concluded in 2025. Approximately 800 manuscripts were saved. The majority of texts are in Sanskrit and Bengali. They deal with Gaudiya Vaisnava theology, Vedanta, Nyaya, and other traditional topics. BRC is committed to saving India's manuscript heritage. They collaborate with scholars and institutions throughout the subcontinent. They aim to digitise these cultural gems and share them with the world.
