News Desk, News Nation 360 : Dr C. V. Ananda Bose, Governor of West Bengal, awarded Prof. Dr Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder-President of MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), with the "Governor's Award of Excellence" in celebration of his lifelong contributions to education and global peace. Dr C. V. Ananda Bose, Governor of West Bengal, praised Prof. Dr Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder-President of MIT-WPU, calling him a visionary leader who made ideas a reality by dedication and deliberate action. Dr Bose referred to the World Peace Dome as a metaphor of how vision, when combined with action, may provide genuinely transforming results. Dr Karad's life and activities exemplify the spirit of education, peace, and human values that have influenced generations. Speaking at MIT-WPU's 7th Convocation Ceremony in Pune, Dr Bose stated that every great success begins with a vision that must be turned into action. Vision without action is pointless, while action without vision can be detrimental. He emphasised the value of education, describing it as "emancipation, empowerment, and enrichment," and encouraged students to continue lifelong learning and use knowledge as a tool for social change. MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) bestowed degrees on 6,837 students from Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate programs in a variety of subjects during its seventh Convocation Ceremony. Outstanding students were awarded 114 Gold, 103 Silver, and 103 Bronze Medals, with 37 scholars receiving PhD degrees for their research excellence. Shwetha Rajshree Iyer and Vedangee Gunesh Patkar were awarded the Founder President's Medal and the Executive President's Medal, respectively, for their outstanding academic achievements.
