ICAI to Educate West Bengal MLAs on Public Financial Governance

News Desk, News Nation 360: One-Day Workshop “Enhancing Governance in Public Financial Management: A Legislative Angle” organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the Members of the Legislative Assembly of West Bengal on 18th August 2026 at the ICAI Centre of Excellence, Kolkata. Benefiting over 200 newly elected MLAs, this innovative initiative consists of unique sessions on sound fiscal management, government accounting, budget analysis, and legislative oversight for effective decision-making and maximising the usage of public money. The inaugural session will have the Honourable Chief Minister of West Bengal, Shri Suvendu Adhikari, as the Chief Guest, along with the Honourable Speaker of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, Shri Rathindra Bose, as the Guest of Honour, and the President of ICAI, CA. Prasanna Kumar D stated that enhancing financial reporting at all levels of governance is a part of the National Vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
