News Desk, News Nation 360 : The largest hospitality company in India, Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), announced a partnership with Merlin Group, the top Eastern Indian real estate group with a nationwide presence, to expand its presence in West Bengal's tourism industry. As part of this partnership, IHCL and the Merlin Group have inked a management agreement for the well-known resort IBIZA in Kolkata, which is close to Joka. The resort will now be known as "IBIZA- an IHCL SeleQtions, Kolkata" and will run under the IHCl SeleQtions brand. The collaboration will get underway in October 2025. The 130-key IBIZA, an IHCL SeleQtions urban resort, is ideally situated on the Diamond Harbour road in Kriparampur, a well-liked tourist destination. It is tucked away in 11 acres of lushly landscaped gardens. The resort will feature a large swimming pool, a calm lake, a bar, a speciality restaurant, an all-day cafe, and a range of indoor and outdoor recreational activities, as well as kid-friendly arenas. An expansive 5,400 square-foot ballroom, conference halls, pre-function spaces, meeting rooms, and picturesque outdoor settings will all be included in this adaptable banqueting. October 2025 is when the resort opens. Sushil Mohta, Chairman of Merlin Group, stated that they are thrilled to collaborate with IHCL, the top hospitality company in India. The resort will be the perfect location for a brief getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.
