Kalighat Sports Lovers Association Celebrates Padma Shri Sailen Manna's 102nd Birthday

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Padma Shri Sailen Manna's 102nd birthday was commemorated by the Kalighat Sports Lovers Association (KSLA) with a fireworks show, cultural activities, sports, and financial assistance. The Avenue Sammilani Club grounds, which are next to Rabindra Sarobar Stadium, served as the setting for the event. The club's flag was raised, lanterns were released, a ceremonial first dance performance took place, the auspicious lamp was lit, and a floral tribute to a statue of Sailen Manna was presented as the 102nd birthday celebration got underway. individuals who attended the event included actress Rituparna Sengupta, Sailen Manna's daughter Nilanjana Manna, Firhad Hakim, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Urban Development and Mayor of Kolkata, and Arup Biswas, Minister of Sports & Youth Welfare, Power, and Housing for West Bengal. A football game between a team of media personalities and a squad of movie stars opened the sporting festivities. Later, speaking to journalists, Swapan Banerjee—the newly elected Joint Secretary of the Boxing Federation of India, Football Secretary of Mohun Bagan Athletic Club, and Secretary of the Kalighat Sports Lovers Association—stated that he has been celebrating Padma Shri Sailen Manna's birthday for a long time, and he would continue to do so this year.
