News Desk, News Nation 360 : Every year during the third week of January, the Karma Social and Welfare Trust hosts its annual celebration. They chose this time since the weather is especially favourable and it enables them to successfully accommodate the kids' academic timetables. They have been doing this for a long time. The Trust has decided to make this year’s event a two-day event instead of the usual one-day event to highlight the major commitment to constructing a new orphanage. This year, the entire organisation is dedicating itself to this particular cause as a tribute to Anil Kumar Das and the late Bijoy Roy. The late mentors taught the team that the service to others is the actual meaning of life, and the event will begin on the 17th January 2026, at 11:00 AM, with a special tribute to him. The event begins with talented children displaying their artwork alongside seventy to eighty other renowned artists from all over Bengal. These artists will create artwork on the spot, which will then be put up for display at the site of the new orphanage to encourage others. There will also be a massive twelve-foot canvas where the guests and artists can display their creativity and vision for the mission. The celebrations on the first day include Tribal dances and Chhau dance, and musical performances to celebrate the rich heritage of West Bengal. The second day consists of a Sit-and-Draw competition for children aged two to sixteen years old, followed by more cultural performances. The Trust hopes to utilise this opportunity to get the support of the community and form a diverse committee to help manage the orphanage project. Even though the Trust already performs regular blood donation camps and health drives, this year the major aim is to fulfil its responsibility towards the children in need. This special two-day event will lay the groundwork for the project while the organisation pursues other charitable causes in the future.
