News Desk, News Nation 360: Lake Youth Corner observed its annual Khuti Puja ritual as an official countdown towards Durga Puja in 2026, unveiling its inspiring theme “NAYAK,” which is a moving tribute to the immortal legacy of one of the most revered figures of Bengali Cinema – Uttam Kumar – known as Mahanayak in Bengal. The idea was conceived by Assistant Secretary and Lake Youth Club member Kunal Roy Chowdhury and visually documented by Soumyajit Banerjee. The theme focuses on heroism not through victory but through the timeless virtues of respect, compassion, romance, and common humanity upheld by this matinee idol, making a poignant link between the victory of the goddess over evil and the victory of love in film.
