SERVES FOR NATION
News Desk, News Nation 360 : LIC inaugurated the "One Man Office" (OMO) online service through its agents as part of its ongoing efforts to empower its sales force and guarantee smooth, round-the-clock digital service to policyholders. With One Man Office, LIC hopes to give its sales team—which includes agents, development officers, senior business associates, chief life insurance advisors, LIC associates, and chief organizers—a complete digital ecosystem that will help them in their daily work, increase their productivity, and guarantee better customer service. The service went live on February 17, 2025. The main purpose of LIC's OMO (presumably short for "Omni-channel Mobile Office") program is to equip its agents with digital empowerment in the digital world, making their mobile phones digital offices. The program will enable digital policy sales, give end-to-end after-sales service, enable agent business operations, and act as a central hub for training and knowledge. OMO aims to empower agents with an easy-to-use, one-stop mobile solution to all business and service needs, enabling self-sufficiency. These services are available on the ANANDA (Atmanirbhar Agents New Business Digital Application) platform for customer onboarding with functionality like premium calculation, benefit illustration, e-NACH registration, change in address, online request for loan, renewal premium payment, and claim documents submission. In addition, ANANDA will have a knowledge centre, multiple insurance and health calculators, an office finder, and NEFT search functions to help agents effectively serve their customers. LIC plans to gradually add more features to the application to evolve with the changing needs of users. The CEO and MD of LIC of India, Siddharth Mohanty, spoke at the occasion and stated that it will be a valuable tool for the sales force to market life insurance and offer services to LIC clients at any time and location. This will be a big step in the direction of Insurance for All by 2047.
