News Desk, News Nation 360 : In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Manipal Hospital EM Bypass, a unit of one of India's largest healthcare chains, the Manipal Hospitals Group, collaborated with Ladies Circle India (LCI) to organise a special awareness program aimed at promoting education, early detection, and support for women suffering from breast cancer. Dr Neha Choudhary, Senior Consultant and Department Head, Surgical Oncology (Breast Surgery), Manipal Hospital, Mukundapur Cluster; Dr Pooja Agarwal, Consultant - Surgical Oncology (Breast Surgery), Manipal Hospital, EM Bypass; and CR. Mansi Shah, National Special Events Convenor, Ladies Circle India, all spoke at the event about the importance of early detection and community outreach in saving lives. During her address, CR. Mansi Shah, National Special Events Convenor, Ladies Circle India, stated that the Mammo Mission is their way of reminding all women, particularly those from poor families, that early diagnosis saves lives. Through awareness seminars and screening camps, they hope to educate, empower, and motivate women to Check, Thrive, and Protect their health. They are sincerely grateful to Manipal Hospital for collaborating with them on this life-saving project. In keeping with the WHO's 2025 theme "Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters," Ladies Circle India initiated the national Mammo Mission to equip underprivileged women with breast cancer awareness, education, and free screening, emphasising the need for self-exams and prudent healthcare with its "Check. Thrive.". Protect." message, and in Kolkata, Ladies Circle collaborated with Manipal Hospitals in September during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to provide interactive sessions on prevention, self-examination, and the most recent treatment technologies while also encouraging discussions on health, early detection, and emotional support. As part of the partnership, Manipal Hospital EM Bypass also offered free consultations for members of Ladies Circle India, and based on these assessments, up to 20 free mammograms will be available to participants, underlining the initiative's dedication to lowering obstacles to early detection and encouraging women to take control of their health through low-cost, practical advice and firm community support.
