News Desk, News Nation 360 : Bharti Airtel (Airtel) subsidiary Nxtra Data Limited released its FY 2024–2025 Sustainability Report. The report describes the company's advancements in creating intelligent, scalable, and sustainable digital infrastructure. The study outlines Nxtra's dedication to and advancements in the three sustainability pillars: reducing environmental impact through cleaner energy and more intelligent operations; promoting safety and social inclusion; and strengthening governance with accountability and transparency at its centre. Contracting an astonishing 482,800 MWh of renewable energy sources, three times higher than the baseline year of 2021, is one of the key accomplishments for FY 2024–25, indicating a significant commitment to clean energy. The company demonstrated improved operational efficiency by successfully lowering average Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) by 10% when compared to FY 2021. Employee engagement was robust, with a score of 85 out of 100, reflecting a strong culture of workplace trust. 98% of strategic suppliers undertook ESG evaluations to guarantee sustainable practices along the value chain, while 99% of suppliers were based in India to improve supply chain integrity and economic resilience. In addition, the company reported 6.15 million safe person-hours in construction and related activities, demonstrating its commitment to ethical business practices. Ashish Arora, CEO – Nxtra by Airtel, stated that sustainability is a fundamental business requirement that permeates every choice they make regarding the design, construction, and operation of Nxtra. By becoming the first data centre and just the 14th company in the nation to join the global RE100 program and pledge to run all of their operations entirely on renewable energy, they have set new industry standards this year. Additionally, they are the first in the nation to use AI on a large scale to improve operational performance and energy efficiency.
