News Desk, News Nation 360 : In Kolkata, Ambuja Neotia organised the eighth Charles Correa Memorial Lecture in partnership with the Charles Correa Foundation. Honouring the legacy of the renowned Indian architect Charles Correa, the event brought together prominent figures and members of the architectural and design community. The much-awaited book "Great Expectations – Notes to an Architect," the follow-up to the late Christopher Benninger's groundbreaking masterpiece Letters to a Young Architect, was also formally launched at the event. Peter Stutchbury, Harshavardhan Neotia, and Ramprasad Akkisetti (MD, CCBA Designs) worked together to execute the launch. The evening featured a captivating keynote address by renowned Australian architect Peter Stutchbury, known globally for his contextual, environmentally sensitive, and poetic design philosophy. Reflecting on Correa’s influence, Stutchbury remarked that delivering the 8th Charles Correa Memorial Lecture in the city where a portion of his remarkable vision was realised is a great honour. Charles Correa was a philosopher of space in addition to being an architect. His steadfast dedication to constructing with profound regard for the local culture, ecology, and human condition is a reflection of the core principles of his work.
