SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk. News Nation 360: Manipal Hospitals Kolkata held a special cultural event called "Rabindra Jayanti" at the ancient Indian Museum to commemorate Rabindranath Tagore's 165th birthday. Nineteen doctors from all of the group's units—including EM Bypass, Mukundapur, Dhakuria, Salt Lake, and Broadway—performed classic pieces like "Shesher Kobita" and timeless tunes like "Pagla Hawar Badal Dine" in a rare break from their clinical responsibilities. Dr Sanjoy Basu's live painting of Tagore as a tribute to his lasting impact was one of the evening's highlights. The event was in line with the national goal of "Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi," which bridges progress with legacy, according to Dr Sayan Bhattacharya, Director of the Indian Museum. Manipal Hospitals reaffirmed the idea that true healing transcends medicine into the domains of empathy, culture, and holistic well-being by bringing together medical professionals like Drs. Sukalyan Purkayastha, Paromita Kanjilal Chakraborty, and Subhasis Saha to engage with the community through art.
