News Desk. News Nation 360: On April 21, 2026, Tulir Taane, a dance and music academy close to Kasba, South Kolkata, successfully held its 26th annual cultural event at Madhusudan Mancha. The event, which brought together mainstream kids and children with special needs on the same stage under the theme of "Samanway" (Harmony), included a potent blend of inclusivity. A student of Pt. Birju Maharaj and Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra, founder and principal, Dr Nupur Mukherjee spearheaded the effort to show how Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) may promote social and physical development in children with autism and mental disabilities. Shubhra Madam's moving musical performance and the institution's student placing second in the Kathak Visharad test under Pracheen Kala Kendra were the evening's high points. Dr Mukherjee used the opportunity to promote DMT as a tool for "Art of Healing," reflecting on ten years of inclusive education. She emphasised that integrating special-needs children into the cultural mainstream is not only an artistic ambition but also a humanitarian imperative.
