Support for Gen Z is Higher in West Bengal, with Social Pressure for Them Being at Merely 50% : iQOO The Quest Report 2024

News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Quest Report 2024, a collaboration between iQOO, a sub-smartphone brand of the vivo group, and CyberMedia Research (CMR), delves into the attitudes, goals, and dreams of Generation Z. This research provides insight into the aspirations and life journey of one of the world's most optimistic generations. It summarises the opinions of 6,700 respondents, who ranged in age from 20 to 24 and were from 7 different countries: India, the US, the UK, Brazil, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. The study focuses on three main topics: the spirit and drive of Gen Z Questers to achieve their goals, impediments and roadblocks that impede their pursuit of passion, and job decisions that align with their interests. Gen Z in West Bengal is particularly ambitious, with a strong desire for fame, wealth, and societal impact. Nearly all aspire to social media stardom and financial success, while also exhibiting a strong inclination towards performing arts and scientific pursuits, both areas where they outpace the national average. Despite societal pressure being lower than the national average, they are twice as likely to take the initiative in pursuing their dreams. Globally, Gen Z prioritizes career success over work-life balance, with women facing greater challenges in their pursuits. Indian Gen Z leans towards stability and career advancement in established organizations, but they are also twice as likely to take the initiative compared to their global peers. Financial constraints are a common barrier, yet most remain optimistic about achieving their goals. Both Indian and global Gen Z view failure as a learning opportunity and emphasize the importance of mentorship. The report explores many facets of Gen Z's definition of success and uses the Quest Index, or "QI," as a quantitative instrument to decipher the ambition, drive, and enthusiasm of Questers. India's QI stands at 9.1, while Malaysia's is at 8.7, Thailand & USA's is at 8.2, Indonesia's is at 8.1, the UK is at 8 QI, and Brazil is at 7.8 QI, according to the results. Commenting on the release of the report, Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India, stated that in keeping with their dedication to fostering ambitions, iQOO hired the first-ever 23-year-old Chief Gaming Officer from Kanpur last year. Their goal is to provide young people with the means to follow their passions. The report is an endeavour in the direction of the brand's active participation in programs that assist people in realising their potential. The intention is to motivate Generation Z to set out on their journey, face many obstacles, and realise their aspirations.
