Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata Celebrates Excellence in Sports, Service, and Spirit

News Desk, News Nation 360 : For more than ten years, the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata, the biggest sporting event in East India, has served as a symbol of the city's pride and distinction. On 14th December 2025, the World Athletics Gold Label 25K will commemorate its tenth historic edition. The Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, Dr. C. V. Ananda Bose, attended the event, along with distinguished members of the Indian Army, partners, and creative luminaries. The renowned artist Shri Debasish Mallick Choudhury will curate these pieces for a public display at the Ministry of External Affairs' Indian Council of Cultural Relations later this year. With the help of Impact360 Foundation, the event's philanthropic partner, all revenues will be given to the Army Welfare Fund, Bengal Sub Area, Indian Army, in a potent demonstration of the philanthropic potential of art. The Indian Army, a valued partner of the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata since the inception of the event, has been deeply connected with the event, and Red Road has remained the race's symbolic start point. To commemorate this long-standing partnership, Procam International, along with the Indian Army and the Family Welfare Fund, Bengal Sub Area, arranged for a special Art Camp at Marco Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kolkata. In an innovative blend of art, sport, and service, 25 talented artists from Bengal's top art colleges — such as Visva-Bharati University, Rabindra Bharati University, Government

College of Art & Craft, Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Indian Art College, and Montmartre took part in the program. Inspired by the ideals reflected in the Army and the general spirit of the race, the artists produced strong pieces with themes of courage, perseverance, and patriotism, a moving tribute that combined artistic expression with honour and appreciation for service and hardship. The renowned artist Shri Debasish Mallick Choudhury will curate these pieces for a public display at the Ministry of External Affairs' Indian Council of Cultural Relations later this year.
