The Faculty Mentor Development Program at EDII Ahmedabad

News Desk, News Nation 360: The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) concluded an intensive six-day Faculty Mentor Development Programme at its Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar campus, providing training to a select group of 40 faculty members chosen by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha. The participants, drawn from the state's universities and colleges, were chosen to foster campus-based student entrepreneurship ecosystems. The residential programme, which formally began at Bhubaneswar on September 5, following an institutional pact initiated by Odisha's Minister of Higher Education, concluded with each participant submitting a detailed plan to set up incubation support, startup mentorship cells and enterprise culture in their respective colleges. The EDII Director General, Dr Sunil Shukla, highlighted that training university educators, drawing upon EDII's previous institutional engagements with the state governments of Uttarakhand, Goa and Gujarat, would provide a template to transform higher education campuses from pools for potential job-seekers to vibrant engines of job creation and economic enterprise to realise the vision of a developed Odisha.
